I met Tillman once... kind of a jerk. This was back in 99 when we were building 701. Funny story though my brother did threaten to tow his car once, because it was in a family owned parking lot.

Gherrie: I agree: Lowe's incompetent leadership deserves to be rectally fed their walking-papers, after said papers have been set-ablaze; especially for letting the company's HQ offices relocate from Wilkes to neighboring Iredell County.

I feel sorry for the people left. I would have already been gone and I really don't know how they have any workers still left there to fire. I would drive to Winston or Charlotte to work for a company that had a future! The workers still there have to feel like little ducks at the carnival. They wouldn't have the pleasure of firing me I would just quit.

Bottom Line We observed that Lowe’s shares have declined 9.4% in the past one month, underperforming the Zacks categorized Building Products-Retail/Wholesale industry’s fall of 4%. Recent decline in share price was primarily due to lower-than-expected first-quarter fiscal 2017 results and trimmed guidance. The company now anticipates fiscal 2017 earnings to be approximately $4.30 per share, down from the previous estimate of $4.64 but up significantly from $3.99 posted in fiscal 2016. The decline in earnings guidance is due to loss on extinguishment of debt and lower interest expense

By outsourcing yet more jobs to India, Lowes has just proven again that they care nothing about customer service. We already knew they don't care for their own employees!! All they care about is the stockholders. They need to realize that they are going down the wrong road for the long term health of their company.

120 more people out of a job. When will the board get rid of the incompetent leadership?

Does anybody know what Lowe's positions were cut (or moved to India) yesterday? Was it Help desk or something else? Been thinking about applying but all the cuts make me nervous.
