Nothing new there only idiots use lead solder or old car radiators. But as my grandpa told a neighbor with a bad hangover (son it wasn't the quality of the likker it was the quantity)

Know it is not. Once again, you are wrong. That’s only a problem if not distilled properly.

As young adult my parents would put fruit in a old ceramic canister on top of hot water heater in cold months which was enclosed in small area & it would work off well. Yet you could smell it as soon as you walked in. Guess you could call it Winter Wine? Some frozen & some Never frozen fruit. Yet after strained and worked off again it had the "KICK"...

Well, of course no one would actually DO it, this thread is strictly for educational purposes

Many years ago I used to buy gallon milk jugs of uncut wine from a guy that run a small truckstop in western PA. He got it from tanker trucks taking it to bottlers in Philadelphia. It was really good wine and would kick like a mule. I paid a dollar a jug for it back in those days... lol

Someone here is concerned about legality?

Yes I have heard of it and I believe it is just as illegal as distilling

Have any of you heard of "Winter Wine"? The description given to me was much like fractional freezing: you would freeze or partially freeze the wine, then strain out the ice crystals so that the liquid remaining would be much higher in alcohol content.

I'd be curious to hear if anyone has tried this, or has an input on it.

OMG, I remember PJs! We would just do an assortment of fruit, Hawaiian punch, and Everclear. I wonder if it would still taste good as an adult?

And I wonder how many of us were at the same parties, drinking the same PJ?

Were the real deal, their antics on the first season turned me away, Like sneaking a place on another persons land. That would have resulted in a killin in my part of the county. Most of the folks I knew worked very hard at keeping good relations with the local landowners. Not only were they your hosts but your early warning system to.

Amax that's not completely true Tim Smith, JB Raider, and Popcorn Sutton from the TV show were the real deal.

I remember folks making PJ at college. I've never drunk alcohol myself but it was fun watching people be stupid. Yeah I remember watching stupid people eat the fruit too......there was Dave and Peter that did a 100 shots in a 100 minutes......thankfully Kevin and me hid the hacksaw from them......
