if you ever went through a cat 5 you would change your tune about tornados. Yes, I have seen death and destruction from a tornado. Also worked Hurricane David in Mobile and I can tell you one think, neither are to be taken lightly..

If I were at home....I would take shelter in my "bunker"

Would you take shelter in a mobile home or a in a basement?

No, I finished running becuse i didnt see a tornado

If i had i would have taken shelter so therefore I'm consistent I'm my thoughts and actions

I was inside the office. I usually go to lunch at 12, but opted to stay in and take a later lunch because it felt really, really dumb to drive during a tornado.

Point here being... you saw the alert, and then took shelter. Yet you refuse to do the same thing for something that is statistically a LOT more dangerous.

Good question. In fact i was outside running when the first alert happened. I stopped, read the alert then looked at the sky and finished running back to the car.

If i had noticed a tornado i would have taken shelter wherever i could have. Ditch, bridge... where ever.

Are you asking if I stayed inside? I mean, I wasn't walking around outside, no... and if I had been I would have used an umbrella.

Were you hanging around outside without protection?

I would if i heard or saw one approaching. In which case I would know that i was in fact in danger.

Since it's a metaphor for COVID... what if it was impossible to see until it was too late? All you had to go by was news reports that a tornado was nearby?

tmann

well, i haven't taken shelter today even though the TV told me too.... Did you ?

So you agree, then, that it's pointless to take shelter from a tornado? You should go about life as usual during a tornado and pretend it's not there.

Right?

Oh, so you are saying i am doing the same thing the Democrats are by assuming that the folks in LA died because of Katrina (hurricane or tornadoes created by it).

In that case you are right. They could have died from fear or drowning... heart attack. So same same as covid... right?

The odds of being killed in a tornado are 1 in 5,693,092...

Only cowards and f00ls take steps to protect themselves and their families...

Tmann, I'm sure those people weren't really killed by the tornadoes (or hurricane). I bet their death certificate doesn't say "tornado." See, it's all fake news!

I read about this one guy that had a car wreck, and they blamed it on a tornado! Just because he was driving the middle of the tornado...

So, you are now capable of seeing back in time to determine that i could not smell death baking in the sun in Louisiana?

I was part of team of 12 people. I'll let them know they didnt smell it either.

Well maybe I can put a mask around my property and keep it out!!!!

Tmann you are worse than ignorant you are an intentional liar.

(BTW, with the exception of this sentence, everything I've said in this thread is a direct quote from someone talking about COVID)

tmann

I have worked dozens of recovery efforts from natural disasters.

No, not personally but I could sure smell it (death and decay) in Jefferson Parrish, LA cleaning up after Katrina.

Do you know anyone that's died from a tornado?

tmann

Ha, tornadoes are real.

antithesis

Who cares? You have a 99% chance of surviving a tornado, so why bother getting in out of the rain? Fake news! Cowards!
