How did Elkins 7&8 fair against ASH??

Strickland did well after being removed from the QB position, in fact Elkin going on that run to share the conference title wasn't just Brinegar being moved to QB but also Strickland excelled at his new position...

And he's not playing QB at UNC lol. He's where he should have been while in High School..

Wow you two don't know very much about Elkin football. Elkin's strength that year was the Oline, there two best players Robbins and Cranford anchored that line. Strickland did fine that year it was a small senior class with no real speed, that's why they won one ball game. Plus Strickland must not be doing to bad for himself, I hear he's on the practice squad at Carolina.

I wasn't trying to insult that kid with my comparison at all, I was just comparing off what I've seen. I said that about Strickland back during his Freshman year when I seen him play actually. He was taking licks of all kinds due to their awful o-line that year and was struggling. Strickland was a heck of an athlete to carry the offense all those times he did play QB but he just wasn't meant to be in that role. He would have been an awesome WR or RB his last three years if they gave him that chance early on. Same with this kid. I think he'll be a decent RB or some other skill guy by his senior year but he just can't do the QB role. Not his fault of course but can't fault him for doing what's best this year for them.

I wish them the best in conference not being mean either.

The experiment with Strickland at QB for Elkin should have been over half way or before of his sophomore season. Everyone in the conference knew he couldn't do it I guess except his own coaches.

The young man playing QB for Elkin's JV now would not be playing QB if not for a transfer of another kid. He is the best that they have available now but he won't QB in the future. This will be his last year as a starting QB.

I've watched this freshman class at Elkin along with the 8th and 7th grades. Elkin will be good again in about 3 seasons but it won't be pretty in the mean time.

The Freshman class is talented, the 8th graders are loaded, and the 7th is equal to the 9th.

Perfect in what? Being the worst team in the MVAC? I think they have a good chance of it this year.

Strickland was a good athlete. Bad QB but good athlete. Same situation for that kid on their JV's, being a QB isn't for him but he'd be an okay RB or WR.

lol about Elkins QB really and whoever you are comparing him to Strickland is a joke not a compliment he should have been gone after his freshman year and brinager in that's when they finally done a little something by the scores so far Elkin is going for a perfect record this year

Elkin had a lot of heart for not having much depth or athletes they just couldn't compete with the numbers of North. Elkin has a solid athletic QB. He reminded me a lot of Strickland and if he can get open field he can run. Besides him that was all they had. They had some big lineman on the bench not playing which was weird.

If that QB could ever get some weapons they could maybe do something in conference play.

Yeah Joraye is gonna be a stud. Wouldn't be surprised to see him on varsity next year as a freshamn. He can play about any position on the field.

WC freshman class is good this year. Those kids have always won but all they have coming next year is the Morrison kid who could be another Bynum.

Freshman class is very good this year. Next years class only has one or two standouts imo.

Yes they have some quick freshman but next years freshman class is will be even better.
