Ashe scored 35 against WC, guru. This is something I haven't discussed. You do realize in the WC/Ashe game WC fumbled 4 or 5 times inside their own 40 giving Ashe a ton of momentum and a short field. Ashe is a good team and deserved to win. I won't try and take that away but if these 2 teams played again, I would bet that it would be a lot closer. That game was an aberration but hey it happens. I'm confident that WC is capable of beating Ashe. Won't get another chance to prove that so kudos to the Huskies on the victory.

As for tonight. WC made a statement. This was not the same team that played 4 days earlier in West Jefferson.

More importantly, Starmount had a player go down with what appeared to be a serious injury in the 4th quarter. Please keep that young man in your thoughts and prayers tonight. If anyone has an update, I would like to know how he is doing.

We lost to a good Ashe co team. 37-13 in a downpour. We played with them for a while but It is what it is. At least we gave up less points than central did against them. Love the starmount central score. Hahahha.

East isn't what everyone wants them to be, not this year, not ever! You are undefeated but look who you have played. What does playing that type of schedule do for your program. NOTHING! All it does is sets you up for defeat when you play another mediocre team who has played a little competition, it also sets you up for a butt whipping when you play a decent team who has played decent competition. It also sets you up for traveling in the first round of the playoffs to a school much much better than you are like West Montgomery 51-7.

West is no threat to East, everybody knows that. They are on the same level as us, Elkin and Alleghany.

North Surry LED 13-12 at half against Elkin not trailed them. If we played like we did in the 2nd half in the 1st we probably would dropped 70 or 80 on them easily. That was the only time this year the kids didn't take them seriously and played to their level. Ashe was a good test for us Elkin wasn't.
