I've used one for years, I wash my reservoir in my dish washer, and clean my tubing and face mask , with vinegar and warm water, vinegar kills bacteria. that help me after I had a head cold.

ok maybe i can help with this. I am a CPAP user and last week I went to the doctor for what I thought was a cold/ flu.
Turned out I have bronchitis.
The doctor said until I get over the bronchitis DON'T use my CPAP because it will just push the congestion deeper into my lungs.
So I am taking mucinex to get the gunk up and sleeping sitting up in a recliner.
I hope this helps

When was the last time you washed water reservoir out? I usually put a drop of bleach in mine when I clean it. Also, when was the last time you changed your tubing and mask?

Ive been experiencing the same symptoms. I think mine stems from my severe spring allergies. I just take a generic Zyertec each morning and bare it.!!

I have used a CPAP for years. I recently had a cold and for the past few days, when I wake up, my chest is hurting and congested. It seems to get better once I get up. Has anyone experienced this and if so, any simple solutions?
