This thread has you claiming not runing a pro style program, yet dook runing a one and done system

Maybe come out wrong or sounded mean but what I ment was give a player a chance in life in something they really understand or like. Or choice of a fleid of jobs they can try for. Instead of saying they shouldn't have been out there playing or in school.That's like telling players if there not smart enough to make the grade in classes the school offers then there on there own. That's more down gradeing then offering classes that give them a chance in subject they love and understand fully. Comes down to, are you really worried about all the kids in ncaa having a chance at making a good life for themselves? Or you just want to act like you do so ncaa will hammer your schools rival in sports to hurt them or help your school out in sports? Deep down you know what you feel , which way is that? Why not give the sports students a choice , have classes in what you call a sports degree---- classes in sports reporters, coaches classes+ p.e teacher, sportscasters classes, asst. Coaches classes, strength & conditioning coaches classes and so on. Call it a sports degree and make them learn that trade in that class. Or the choice of the real students classes and make them earn grade both ways.of course the the sports degree classes would be easier but give the student in sports not smart enough to make grade in real classes a chance at degree and future in the world in something they like instead of kicking them out of school or sports to live life as nothing. This way if football or basketball or whatever like nfl or nba don't work out they would have degree in sports related job so they would still have chance in life. But give them choice coming in to school of life path they chose. All hate aside I think everyone would agree

All I heard is boo hoo hoo boo hoo hoo US TURD DOOKIE fans are still behind unc in record books even the mighty coach k couldn't pass unc . All we have is excuses because they 've had better players , look at nba history our dook players become sportscasters , unc players become nba champions and hall of famers

Central dad------ you and state & dook fans have said same thing over and over. Unc cheated in classroom for students degrees, which unc admitted to. But to say they did it for sports students only is not true. Unlike dook, unc was a elite basketball program years and years before these so called classes. Dook was mostly good in 2 era"s vic bubbas, and coach k with few seasons with Bill foster. The helms title season state & dook fans make fun of was 1 of 2 seasons that unc has done something dook or state has never done . Go unbeaten 26-0 in 1924 beating all top teams that year. Then 1957 32-0 ncaa title. SouthernConference championships final fours, a lot of wins so on. Already winning before these classes. Like I said some excuses are better than none

Sociology class has a bunch of majors for basketball players that don't even know what class is for,lol. Like I said get real, these basketball players aren't there for education ,they are there to play ball and anyone who thinks different is crazy. Just like you said players competitive advantage for getting more practice. How do you know they were practicing 10-15 more hours a week, haven't seen or heard those claims just off dook and state fans. Also some players could practice 6 months more than other players and still wouldn't be as good or skilled. Take Josh Roberts or Brandon Haywood picked one from each school that plays nba. Ok take those 2 players if they practiced there hearts out for 2 years say 600 more hours of practice than say LeBron James or Kobe Bryant. Then they played each other who would you pick to win?? Don't give excuses just tell truth who would you put bet on if you had cash on it? Point being practice will make you better, but skilled players are good anyways and some will still be better than others no matter how much more practice they get. So competitive advantage for more practice that you can't prove they were doing to start with is just a excuse. They won titles because they were good basketball players and worked good as team

Coach k was 73-59 @ army I was wrong. But his last season at army he was 9-17. Took over for Bill foster in 1980, Bill foster had team in final four in 1978 had record @ dook of===113-64 ------1975-1980. He coached at south carolina after that which was put on 2 years probation for rules violations during his time as coach. Coach k went 17-13 1st season at dook, then went 10-17 , 11-17 next 2 seasons then fans wanting him fired and he just went on to knock off 20 win + season and final fours out of blue. But he did it right, turned program around over night out of blue. He didn't ever bend rules , even though he committed ncaa violation in 2011 said he forgot after 30 some years of coaching he forgot rule. No harm ncaa changed rule for him next season after that. Can't make the USA coach look bad or into a rule breaker

You've said now Duke hired coach with losing record, what coach is that? He's coached at two places as a head coach and has or had winning records at both.

It is time for UNC to step up to the plate and admit and accept its punishment like it should do! But as usual UNC will find a way shift attention to someone or something else. I predict that the athletic department will eventually make Roy the fall guy and dump him. The NCAA is looking for at this just like Penn State, they want a name to associate all this mess with. Kansas, Kentucky, unc been good for over 100 years with different coaches, dook hired coach with loosening record and 3-4 years in next thing to being fired. But he got a amazing recruiting class even after sucking for 4-5 seasons in roll, never winning ncaa title and very few final fours. But became a elite program overnight . Went 91 or more years without winning title, but then wins 2 in row a bunch of final fours before that , all with a coach with loseing record and own verge of being fired. Hill with his shadey recruiting, was set for Michigan was a lock . Dook pick him up late. Said he became real good off with stuff after committing to dook. Hurley was shadey recruiting , plus was said to be with agent during championship seasons. Jason Williams was a lock for unc even said he was tar heels fan growing up. Dook got him away last second he also graduated in under 3 years at dook with all the practice time and travel ,games . Sociology major go figure. Same with battier, graduated early with rumors if dook students claims they never seen players in classes. William Avery was going to commit to another school but grades wasn't good enough to enroll. But one summer school class at dook made his grade avg high enough to enroll. Guess what class? Sociology. Chris duhon mom was said to have had house bought in durham and job at company owned by dook booster member -- said people working there said never heard of job position opening up, no interviews just hired her.
