Central dad------ Roy now 5-1 vs pitino------ pitino vs unc =0-6 all time. So Mark him and Izzo off your list. With that said both are great coaches but Roy is also. That makes. Unc =12-4. 4-4 vs top #25 ranked teams at the time or teams ranked in sometime in season. Butler was as high as #15 once, iowa was top 25 to start season, Kentucky#1, ul#5, Norte dame#13. Ohio state#12, 10-3 Davidson team. Florida #18, ucla#22 at time. So no easy schedule to it.

Every year Roy won a national title, he had 4 first round players, that's not coaching... he'll I could win a title with a NBA team... Roy can win a national title when his team is Miles better than everyone else. He due to his school cheat to win "Carolina way" mentality may never happen again. Billy Donovan=2 titles which Roy has and beat Billy team this year, smart=1 final four no titles,lol Tony Bennett=0 titles ,0 final fours, Greg Marshall l= 1-0 final fours not sure. Self and coach cal 1 title each after having top classes last 5-6years. But I'll give you there as good as Roy or maybe better right now. Same with coach k with 4 titles, but in the Roy era Roy record better than coach k last 10-11 years. Plus coach k has lost 2 out3 year's in 1st rd in tournament with the #1 player in class both years.So that great coaching was really showing up then, or how he quit his team 94-95 season blame ing a back problem that didn't get fixed till after season and was still going on recruiting trips . I got no problem with Roy but he has issues, the biggest is he tries to run the same offense no matter what talent his teams possesses.

Kryzewski is a master at changing from year to year based on the talent he has on hand. He doesn't recruit players to fit his system, he recruits the best players, and then decides what system fits them. That's one sign of a great coach.

Williams forces his players no matter their talent to run his system, and it kills him sometimes.

Box score stats= Devin thomas=24 points -1 turnover-1block-4 steals - 3 ast. 5 rebounds. Jahlil okafor= 12 points- 5 turnovers- 1 block-0 steals-0 ast. 11 rebounds. So tell me were he is unstoppable again? Again good player, will be very good player, but best last 20years not hardly. Look at a team like unc with hicks, Meeks, Brice Johnson. 3-4 big body players that are not superstars but are good players vs the team's dook played so far. Yes Roy Is good, but not a great coach. He's somewhere near the top of the second 10 best. He is above average when he has a center and pg that is above average.

I like Meeks a lot, but he won't do crap defensively vs Oakfor unless we throw the house at him like WF did, and he still had a double double last night.

Can't you read? I said okafor will be a very good player, but the teams dook played so far haven't been top teams. Vs. Meeks I believe Meeks will hold his own, not saying he will outplay okafor but Meeks will have good game. Same thing was said about Parker last season how far did they go? Recruiting wise scandal or not it is what it is. I'm going to be a tar heels fan, talking about Roy can't coach without talent, whatabout coach k 2out of 3 years had #1 player in class and went out 1st rd. I said the scandal has hurt our recruiting. No players singed in over 18 months other than two with family ties, one of them will contribute as much as Jackie Simmons, the other pretty good.

Hate to say it, but If Okafor hasn't show you much then no wonder everyone argues with you here, you have no clue what you are looking at.

Okafor has the best footwork coming into a college program in probably at least 20 years. Leading the nation in FG%? The dude never misses it seems.

His defense needs work, but for the first time in his life he's actually having to play defense, with those feet, it will improve rapidly.

He will be the national teams starting center in 2022 and 2026 at the Olympics, and maybe 2030. He will probably be on the team in 2018.

I'd love to have him at UNC with Meeks as the best backup in the country, except maybe at Kentucky.

Seen him play, Devon. Thomas did very well vs okafor. Again yes he will be a very good player, but the better the team's and players the more it's not going to be so easy. To tell truth Justin winslow for dook has impressed me more than okafor to this point in season. Back to unc--- alot of kids are waiting to spring or late signing period before choosing anymore. Roy can recruit the kids and they still choose to go elsewhere, he can't make them come.don't understand what your getting at. Trying to get top players is all he can do, if they come great if not do best with what he's got. I'm a unc fan win or lose, but it's a lot better when there winning.
